We invite you to participate in the Fifth International School-Seminar on Early Intervention for Children and Their Families: from Theory to Practice. The event is held in the Year of Science and will be aimed at discussing the theoretical foundations of early intervention and evidence-based early intervention programmes for children with developmental delay and disorders and their families, as well as the experience of advanced early intervention practices in different regions of the Russian Federation and in other countries of the world.
Planned issues to be discussed during the event:
1. Informing the population and specialists (medicine, social services, educational institutions) about the tasks and methods of early intervention for children and their families; the critical importance of the first 1000 days of a child's life and development;
2. Organization issues of work and management of early intervention service, standardization of early intervention services;
3. Development of multidisciplinary team approach and the problem of forming “a team around the child”;
4. Opportunities for the implementation of fundamental research within the evidence-based programs of early intervention and support for children with developmental delay and disorders, problems of inclusion (education, society);
5. Using the ICF in the design of early intervention programs;
6. Traits of early intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders and their families; 7. Experience in providing early intervention services during the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of a remote consultation system (specialists in various fields, parents of children with developmental delay and disorders, volunteers).
